Bartek Miler

Born in 1992 in Paris, Bartek Miler is a Polish musician who actively participates at different musical festivals, events, concerts, competitions as a soloist, chamber and orchestral musician. He gives also seminaries and masterclasses in Polish academies of music and music schools. Bartek Miler has started his musical adventures at the age of 6, with piano and clarinet. He started to play percussion much later, as a teenager. He is a versatile percussionist practicing many contrasting styles in music. He uses his skills on the bass clarinet, clarinet, piano, drum set and percussion instruments for different musical experiments and projects. He was also studying orchestral conducting for a short period of time in Poznan, Poland. Since 2009 he has been recognized as a charismatic soloist and chamber musician in many national and international competitions. He is the co-founder of the Percussion Ensemble Trio BenBen which had many success in Poland as on the international scene at the Percussion Competition in Luxembourg. In 2013, Bartek Miler is a laureate of two first and second prizes at the Italy Percussion Competition in Montesilvano in Italy. In 2014, he is selected to participate as the only percussionist from the Polish Music Academies at the great ARD Music Competition. In 2015, he is a laureate of several prizes at the National Percussion Competition in Poznan, Poland. He received, in the same year, the prestigious artistic scholarship “Young Poland” from the Polish Minister of Culture. In November 2016, Bartek Miler receives the special “Annelie” prize given by the Youth Jury for the best musical personality at the prestigious percussion competition TROMP International Percussion Competition Eindhoven in The Netherlands. In may 2017, Bartek received the III prize at the International Rising Star Music Competition Berlin for every musicians / instrumentalists and the I prize as the Overall Winner at the Muse Competition in Greece in 2019. He collaborates, since 2011, with the Poznan Philharmonic Orchestra in Poland. He plays concerts with the orchestra of the famous Polish conductor Adam Sztaba and as a special guest with the Polish Radio Orchestra Amadeus. He also plays in a trio with the world-wide known Polish guitarist Lukasz Kuropaczewski and accordionist Maciej Frackiewicz. He gets his bachelor of music in 2013 with the highest degree and distinction in the percussion class of Marian Rapczewski at the Paderewski Academie of Music in Poznan, Poland. He obtained his master degree at the National Superior Conservatoire of Music in Lyon (CNSMD Lyon), France, in the prestigious percussion class of Jean Geoffroy in june 2017. He’s currently doing his doctoral studies in the Academy of Music in Poznan, Poland.
