The TROMP International Percussion Competition, taking place from 10 to 20 November 2022, is open to professional percussionists of all nationalities who are maximum 30 years of age at the start of the competition and have completed their professional education or are currently in the final phase.

Jury TROMP 2022

TROMP has an excellent history of internationally acclaimed jury's, including world famous percussionists such as Colin Currie, Momoko Kamiya, Martin Grubinger, Christian Dierstein, Evelyn Glennie and Nancy Zeltsman.

During the competition, the participants that haven't been selected to participate in the Finale, will get the opportunity to discuss their performance with jury members, time permitting.

Additionally it has become a tradition that participants not admitted to the Semi-Finals will be offered a chance to perform with the jury members in the TROMP Jury Concert.

Facilities

The TROMP Project Office ensures a relaxed atmosphere in which participants can fully focus on their performance. The Friends of TROMP host families are known for their warm and friendly welcome.

Facilities for TROMP competition participants

  • board & lodging with a host family
  • reimbursement of travel costs (max. € 800)
  • all necessary instruments of the highest professional quality
  • meals or a daily allowance
  • professional recordings, which can be used for promotional purposes
  • a visit to the factory of Adams Musical Instruments
