Lai Keng Lam wins composition competition 2022

Lai Keng Lam of the Royal Conservatory in The Hague was chosen as the winner of the prize for her composition '9election'


In addition to the competition and festival, TROMP organizes a composition competition for young composers who study at Dutch conservatories. 
Today, the compositions were performed by fellow students for an online audience and a jury that consisted of Bert Palinckx (director November Music),
Davo van Peursen (director Donemus Publishing) and Janco Verduin (composer).

Lai Keng Lam of the Royal Conservatory in The Hague was chosen as the winner of the prize for her composition 9election. Performed by Te-Ping Teng, João Ramos Brito, Miguel Pissarra and Correia Pinto Varela.
"Great percussive sounds, nice composition and well within the TROMP Percussion context", according to the jury. 
The composition prize of € 1,500 was awarded to her today.
